Here you can find some of the most dangerous roads in the world. As well as having high death rates and being exceptionally dangerous to navigate, the people who live close to these roads are dependent upon them for their daily lives and transportation. According to the World Health Organisation, around 1.3 million people die in traffic accidents every year, a statistic that they aim to reduce by the introduction of ´The Decade Of Road Safety´ from 2011 to 2021. While the vast majority of roads could be improved by better driving, there are still some routes that demand courage as well as skill; from hairpin bends to mountain drops – here are some of the worst roads in the world.
