Mark Wahlberg Style? – Our Fashion Style Tips For You

Mark Wahlberg Actor

Mark Wahlberg Style

I saw a tweet coming through about Mark Wahlberg from Peng Siang. I’ve watched many of his crazy movies but never once did I stop to look at his style or should I say the lack of. So I am wondering why Peng admires him so much. Peng describes Mark as the actor who starred in some great films like Ted and The Departed, but Mark Wahlberg is better known as Mark ‘Marky Mark’ Wahlberg a.k.a the fit, crotch-grabbing poster boy for Calvin Klein underwear and former rapper and frontman of the band Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch. The Funky Bunch?

For me Mark is far from the funky bunch crew. Mr Siang goes on to explain to me, that back in the nineties, Mark would be seen rapping and dancing in his boxers which led to a modeling contract by which he was signed to become the face of Calvin Klein. Baring his trained body, the actor was also photographed with a young, topless Kate Moss in 1992. Though Mark’s underwear modeling career was brief, it was the ad campaign that he did with Calvin Klein that has contributed to his fame. He has since then dropped his “Marky Mark” stage name for his acting debut in 1993. Mark can be seen on the cover of men magazines the likes of GQ, Attitude, Men’s Health, Men’s Fitness and Men’s Journal.

Mark a Fashion Icon?

For me here is where it all goes terribly wrong on a man, style and fashion front. Sorry Peng. Oh my gosh, I respect any man such as Mark who has gone from rags to riches and turned life around. Mark is obviously stuck in the nineties? What is going on here? With a body like his it’s clear he has no idea when it comes to dressing that tonk, bulky body of his.

Style Tips

He is a clear fan of T-shirts, so for me he needs to ditch and bag. What I mean by that, is for any man reading go for tight fitting t-shirts. Let’s face it, all that time in the gym one must have rewards in showing the public. Hey I’m Mr Super Tonk. No promotional messages either. Common dude your super cool as is. Your personal life testimony supports this. So why are you wearing slogans on your huge T-shirts? Guys if you’re big in the chest, any print on your t-shirt looks wrong.

Mark’s shorts are not appealing at all. Again saggy and baggy, its got to go. Camo look is so up your street, for tonk men. It shows your hunter side. Hence why the camo trend is still hot and strong. It’s clear Mark hangs about the gym all the time. But when you are out and about with family and friends, then it’s time to leave the gym wear at the gym.

Blazer Power

Mark go for bespoke, have everything tailor made for you. You can afford it and you can’t afford to keep on looking like this in public. These jackets are so easy to use, very accommodating and super edgy and damn right tough looking if worn well. Go for strong colours. As for your caps, move on darling, fedora and anything tweed. Yes you can rock that gangster image any-time. Be rough and tough, can be enhanced if you just take the time and start learning your style. Now you certainly should wear a suit every now and then. So again suited and booted, go and get it tailored made. You can always wear a suit blazer with a t-shirt.

Mix Your Fabrics

Your jeans are so baggy and big, you’re not a rapper darling. You are an A-Lister actor so embrace it. Go for a slimmer look, enhance those legs to anyone watching. Try before you buy, different jeans for different days. I find if you are bigger avoid layers but mix your materials. Wear denim jacket with suit trousers or chinos. Go nuts even wear a tie for a day. Come on man, you’re a role model, so up the style and fashion image. You’re a fan of black then mess about with it more. Go for different shapes and designs. As for your specs make sure you update your shades. Just to add guys who are super tonk have huge necks, so so for a softer more classic look from time to time use a scarf.

Shoes

I understand the whole sports look but again, move on. You need to give those feet a refiner look. Balance your footwear.Men’s shoes now are amazing and try and make a rule that sneakers or trainers can only been worn when suited not every single day. Keep them in the gym. Brogues are so versatile and flattering with any type of outfit or desert boots.
