Pause Mag Launch Party – Redefining Male Fashion

Pause Magazine is an upcoming fashion magazine for men. Aimed at students and the younger generation of fashionistas, Issue 5 was released today with a bang at its Camden head office. Entitled “The Royal Issue”, the front cover features Bluey Robinson as pictured below, and hits stores soon. The international magazine has a readership stretching from LA to New York, London and Tokyo, reflected by their multicultural, multilingual crowd of reporters, readers and VIP guests that attended its launch. After speaking with the founder, Johnson, it was clear that this is a magazine sets out to help others. Supporting two brands by showcasing their latest collections at the party, Pause is a low-key almost underground magazine that’s hitting it popular with those who keep their eyes on the fashion world.

Showcase Of Talent

On show was an upcoming collection of T-shirts from world renowned artist Jam Sutton and his brand ‘This is Not Clothing’, whose impressive garments were donned by models stood in the centre of the room. THIS IS NOT CLOTHING ON SHOW AT PAUSE MAGAZINE’S LAUNCH PARTY. Also worth a mention is the great goody bag, which had some fab River Island shower gel… more on that to follow.

Overall, the party was a great introduction to the magazine which saw Issue 5 as its first real edition that reflected their motto of ‘redefining male fashion’, and it certainly does that. Written well, and featuring  some impressive photography, the magazine takes top high street picks and matches them with the similar designer items – such as Givenchy gloves quoted as costing £210, or £19.99 from H&M.

Season Transition

The summer-focused images take me back to last season, wishing the good weather could last into the winter, however now we must focus on the upcoming winter season, and ensure we have outfits to match. Pause is the perfect insight into this transition, and allows men and teens to explore fashion curiosities without the fear of peer pressure. In short, Pause = Cool, funky & urban.
