Sweet Inn Apartments Paris – Saint Germain Boulevard

Sweet Inn Apartments Paris – Saint Germain Boulevard

MenStyleFashion was in Paris for Paris Fashion Week Men and what better location to stay than in the heart of one of Paris’s fashion iconic streets called Saint Germain boulevard. I stayed in an apartment right on the boulevard which was part of Sweet Inn, The location was perfect to explore this area. Sweet Inn is a new concept of staying in apartments and having hotel like services, and I was keen to experience this concept.

As there is no reception here, it is important to let the owners know what time you’re turning up to the flat. They are very contactable and called me a few days before to ask what time I would be there. The reason you need to do this is that there has to be someone waiting for you to let you into the apartments. But don’t worry, have the number ready to call in case you’re running late, which is what happened to me. The lady who let me in and showed me the apartment spoke excellent English and was very helpful.

The Sweet Inn concept is new for Paris and in their own words it is: “Travel like a local, live the holiday”. The apartment was a sizeable 50m2 and had all facilities including a kitchen, which was perfect to cut down my costs regarding food and drinks. Because it is so well located, I could pop in and out of the flat to explore the area at my leisure. I brought back some food goodies to rest and enjoy the Parisian way of living. I loved popping my head outside the window now and then to enjoy the Paris street style adventures.

The 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment has a double bed and a sofa bed so it can comfortably sleep 4 people. The soft colours and charmingly arranged open space was perfect for my stay. The camera wallpaper was a lot of fun and it set the perfect mood for Fashion Week Paris. I loved spotting all the camera references in every room. This makes perfect sense because we are in Paris, arguably one of the most photogenic cities in the world.

The location is excellent and we explored some of the most amazing boutiques for Paris. You’re only ten minutes walking from both the Odeon metro and Mabillon metro stations, and the Metro Saint Germain is just a little way up the boulevard.

The Facilities

The kitchen is super modern and has all the equipment to cook if you choose too. There is a washing machine and most important, a nespresso machine.

There are a lot of complimentary services which include excellent free Wi-Fi. The access code is literally hanging on the wall near the TV. There is storage for your luggage before and after your stay and airport transfers and extra professional house keeping during your stay, and that includes dry cleaning. You can order your own private driver and get car rental discounts or ask for your groceries to be delivered too. This is great to create your own perfect holiday getaway.

The bathroom is big, clean and powerful with super hot water, which was welcome during my stay Paris as it was minus three during the day.

Surprising, it was very quiet and I slept like a baby. The bed linen and bed were super cosy too.

The Area

It is the first time I have visited and walked around this section of Paris. Saint Germain Boulevard is one of the famous shopping streets in Paris. It hosts a wide collection of individual boutiques and also famous high street brand such as Agnes B Homme.

The historic Parisian district of Saint Germain and its Haussmannien architecture is literally outside your door. The atmosphere is a mix of luxury street style mixed with very casual style at the same time. If you want to understand where Paris is regarding Street Style, then this is an area you must take time to explore.

The Boulevard Saint-Germain is a major street in Paris on the left bank of the River Seine. The boulevard is most famous for crossing the Saint-Germain-des-Prés quarter from which it derives its name. It was minus five so I took some update images  to give you a glimpse of the area today.

Conclusion

The location is fantastic and the shops to explore are endless. You really get the Paris vibe way of living. The Sweet Inn Saint Germain is the perfect place to bring your mates along and soak up what Paris is all about. The location makes it accessible to visit boutiques and if you need to pop back to drop off your shopping, then this is the place to stay. I had a few friends over and we loved our stay and did some photo shoots as well; it was Paris Fashion Week after all.
