Tom Morris Unveils First SS14 Collection

Tom Morris SS14 Collection

January 2014 saw the launch of the first Spring/Summer collection from Tom Morris, the award-winning luxury lifestyle brand, inspired by the heritage of the eponymous four-time Open Champion and one of golf’s greatest innovators.

The new collection of separates and accessories sees on-course and off-course style blend fluently together and the traditional boundaries become blurred. Each piece has been specifically designed to allow mix and match through new colours, patterns and textures, to achieve a sophisticated yet understated look.

The SS14 collection is influenced by the powerful relationship between the golf course and the coast synonymous with a links; with a windswept, changeable and rugged landscape. The colours employed throughout too are derived from the natural environment of St Andrews Links with dazzling blue, vivid orange and white all featuring prominently.

With such a rich heritage the brand also draws design inspiration from vintage finds or from the Tom Morris archive. Yet just as Tom himself was an innovator and wanted to push back boundaries, each piece is given its own distinct handwriting. In this way, the brand strives to stay consistent with maintaining, developing and evolving their unique identity without diluting it.

Highlights include key pieces which subscribe to the mantra of ‘designed for function, styled for lifestyle’. The range is characterised by pieces with hidden functions such as waterproofs that do not look technical and technical polo shirts that look like cotton polos with a casual every day styling.

The collection is available to buy online at www.tommorris.com and from stockists which include Harrods, Pebble Beach, Congressional CC, Carnoustie Links, Royal County Down, Waterville, Loch Lomond Golf Club, Celtic Manor, The Els Club and Trendy Golf.
