2. Jalalabad–Kabul Road, Afghanistan

Many roads in the world have been categorised ´most dangerous,´ but this 65-kilometer stretch of highway from Jalalabad to Kabul has more validity than others thanks to its meandering through the highly dangerous Taliban territory. But, it’s not the threat of rebel activity that makes this Highway so dangerous; It’s a combination of the thin, meandering lanes that escalate up to 600 meters through the Kabul gorge with the heedless Afghan drivers trying to overtake the heavily-burdened haulage trucks at high speed.
